''Azerbaijan has entered the next stage of reforms in its history''

“The history of statehood of all nations wealthy with economic, political, legal, cultural, religious reforms. The states that have been able to respond to the requirments of the society and have made successful reforms in accordance to the demands of the time, have only gained achievement.” The editor-in-chief of ''Palitra'' newspaper Namig Aliyev told SIA.

Namig Aliyev emphasized that, the heads of the states who have completed the reforms successfully, even today, their reforms are taught through the history books.

There have been reforms in the Azerbaijan's statehood history that have had serious consequences for its time. For instance, the reforms of Kazan Khan, have been one of the most influential reforms in the Middle Ages. Kazan khan decided to regulate the financial and tax system, put an end to the arbitrariness of the officials, to provide the ordinary people with land, as well as to execute reforms in the judiciary, commerce and communications area. The reforms of Shah Abbas is one of the most important reforms that, Khan strengthen the state and was able to regain its lost land in a short time. ”

Editor-in-chief underlined that, Azerbaijan has entered the next and most major phase of reforms in its history: “The analysis of the reform experience indicate that, only reforms that respond the requests and expectations of the people can succeed.

Let us admit that, the citizens of the country desired and waited for these reforms. The government, first allowed a package of social reforms and then initiated structural and personnel reforms. According to experts, the social expenditure, which will cost about 5 billion manat, will cover 4 million citizens. In our opinion, the scale of reforms is so extensive that it covers not only 4 million people but all citizens. Each of the 10 million people will benefit from these reforms, in one way or another.

N. Aliyev also noted that, on the one hand, the reform strengthen the foundations of the state, on the other hand, it has a renewal feature. From this point of view, there is no doubt that the reforms will be successful, and will go down in history.
