"The 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement Member Countries, handing of the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement to Azerbaijan is manifestation of the respect, confidence and trust indicated to our country," the editor-in-chief of the'' SAS'' (''Voice'') newspaper Bahruz Guliyev told Trend.
The expert said that, the 18th Summit of the NAM is a productive platform to discuss a number of issues: "It is essential to improve economic co-operation among the Member States. The discussions will increase the opportunities in political, economic, security and other fields of cooperation between the Member Countries. "
"The chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement was handed to Azerbaijan for three years. It will ensure closer attendance of our country in the international processes. During the Chairmanship of Non-Aligned Movement Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to convey the truth of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to more extensive audience, as well as to increase the number of countries that support the solution of the problem within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. I consider that, Azerbaijan will be able to deliver this issue to the attention of the world community during the years of its chairmanship. "
