Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are like-minded countries and strategic partners that, by joining forces, contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said speaking at the Arab Media Forum in Dubai.
SİA quotes him as saying that Azerbaijan continues to develop its multifaceted geopolitical identity.
"One of our identities is linked to the South Caucasus, while another is connected to the Middle East, as Azerbaijan is part of the broader Islamic civilization. In the broader Middle Eastern region, we see that there may be a certain geographical distance between the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan," he noted.
At the same time, Hajiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan and the UAE are like-minded countries and strategic partners.
"We speak with one voice and believe that by joining forces, our countries contribute to ensuring peace and security in our region," the presidential aide added.
