Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has said he hopes for Azerbaijan's support in advancing the Caspian Environmental Initiative.
SİA informs that he made the remarks during an expanded meeting with President Ilham Aliyev as part of his visit to Azerbaijan.
Touching on cooperation related to the Caspian Sea, the Turkmen president emphasized that joint efforts in security, the economy, ecology and environmental protection are of great importance for both countries.
In this context, Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan had put forward an initiative to hold a high-level meeting on Caspian Sea issues and said he hoped for Azerbaijan's support in promoting the Caspian Environmental Initiative.
