Ukraine and the United Kingdom discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as modern security and humanitarian challenges, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev said.
SİA informs that Husyev wrote about the meeting on social media.
He said a meeting was held at the Ukrainian embassy in Azerbaijan with the newly appointed British ambassador to Azerbaijan, Duncan Norman.
"During the meeting, we discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, exchanged views on modern challenges in the security sphere and humanitarian issues, as well as prospects for further interaction in the region," the statement said.
Husyev expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom for its unwavering support for Ukraine and its struggle for freedom and independence.
"We confirmed our mutual interest in developing partnership cooperation and agreed to maintain close contacts to implement joint initiatives and strengthen international partnership," the Ukrainian ambassador said.
The Ukrainian diplomat also wished Norman success in his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
