"The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have always enjoyed friendly relations based on mutual respect, stemming from the deep historical, religious and cultural values of the two neighboring and Muslim peoples," it was noted in a congratulatory message from Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to his counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
"It is gratifying that the leaders of both countries have always worked diligently to realize the dreams and aspirations of our peoples, and as a result, relations between our countries have progressed day by day on the path of development and progress.
I note with pleasure that this dynamic development process is further strengthening and gaining momentum, covering various topics and common interests at the bilateral, regional and international levels," Araghchi noted.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also wished the government and people of Azerbaijan well-being, happiness and prosperity.
