Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova held talks with Paweł Radomski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Azerbaijan, on September 23, the parliament's press service told SİA.
Gafarova welcomed the ambassador at the start of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and expressed optimism that his tenure would further deepen bilateral cooperation.
The officials reviewed the long-standing historical relationship between the two countries and voiced satisfaction with the ongoing development of political and economic relations. Both sides highlighted the role of high-level visits in promoting closer ties.
The discussion also focused on parliamentary cooperation, with participants noting that reciprocal visits and activities by friendship groups play a crucial role in reinforcing connections between legislative bodies.
Ambassador Radomski spoke positively about Azerbaijan and Baku, adding that visiting the recently liberated territories and witnessing the reconstruction efforts there left a strong impression.
The meeting concluded with exchanges on additional areas of shared interest.
