The Constitution is an agreement between the people and the government, according to Ali Huseynli, Chairman of the Committee for Law Policy and State-Building of Azerbaijan"s Milli Majlis (Parliament), SİA informs.
He shared this insight at the conference held in the parliament on September 19 regarding State Sovereignty Day within the framework of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.
According to Huseynli, in recent years, the Azerbaijani state and people have experienced a celebration of sovereignty: "Azerbaijan's sovereignty has been completely ensured. We can be proud of today's stability and the development of our constitution."
The MP also highlighted the fact that in the modern concept of statehood, the main source of sovereignty is the people.
