A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, represented by the Ministry of Economy, and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group regarding guarantees for the IsDB Group’s Annual Meetings, scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan, will be approved, SİA reports.
This matter is included on the agenda of the International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations Committee meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament set for September 10.
The IsDB Group’s Annual Meeting will take place in Azerbaijan in 2026. Additionally, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has been appointed Chair of the IsDB Group’s Board of Governors.
During the Annual Meeting in Azerbaijan, several key sessions will be held, including the 51st meeting of the Board of Governors of the IsDB, the 22nd General Assembly of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the 33rd Board of Governors meeting of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit, the 26th Board of Governors meeting of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector, and the 19th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development.
The MoU signed at the event establishes a framework for cooperation to ensure the effective planning and organization of the Annual Meeting scheduled to be held in Baku.
