Pashinyan criticizes Biden administration for policy in South Caucasus
Former US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien should not try to blame his shortcomings on Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a briefing, SİA informs referring to Armenian media.
He noted that O'Brien faces the task of explaining why the administration of US President Donald Trump was able to do what the previous American authorities were unable to do.
"We were not satisfied with the work of the US administration in our region in terms of supporting the peace agenda. O'Brien's inability to perceive geopolitical subtleties did not allow him to remain in the State Department. Therefore, I am not going to comment on his emotional assessments. I believe that we have never been less vulnerable since 1991 than we are now," Pashinyan added.
Earlier, O'Brien said that the declaration between the leaders of the US, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, signed in Washington, will not give Yerevan any significant peace dividends.
