Victims of Armenian armed forces' missile attack on Mingachevir testify in court
On August 4, Ingilab Mammadov testified at the Baku Military Court that he suffered as a civilian in Mingachevir city during the 44-day Patriotic War, SİA informs.
Mammadov noted that on October 4, 2020, his two-story house was destroyed as a result of a missile strike, and he and his three young children were injured while trapped under the rubble. He noted that there were no military facilities around his house.
"Later we learned that it was a 'Smerch' rocket fired by the Armenian armed forces," he stated.
Elchin Baghirov, who also testified, said that on the same day, he suffered material and moral damage when a "Smerch" rocket fell near his home in Mingachevir.
Baghirov added that he, his mother Nabat Baghirova, and his uncle were injured in the incident. He stated that his uncle lost his ability to work as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The trial continues for Armenian citizens accused of crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes, acts of terrorism, the preparation and execution of aggressive war, genocide, violations of war laws and rules, forcible seizure and retention of power, as well as financing terrorism, among other offenses stemming from Armenia's military aggression.
