AzTV employee injured in mine explosion planted by Armenian armed forces testifies in court

During the ongoing court hearing at the Baku Military Court on July 31, the victim Emin Mammadov testified that he was sent to Kalbajar for filming as an AzTV employee, and on June 4, 2021, while traveling by vehicle, an anti-tank mine planted by the Armenian armed forces exploded in the Susuzlug village of the district, SİA informs.

Mammadov stated that as a result of the incident, AzTV operator Siraj Abishov, Azerbaijan State Information Agency (AZERTAC) correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, and the deputy representative of the Susuzlug village administrative territorial district Arif Aliyev were martyred, and four people, including himself, sustained bodily injuries.

In response to the state prosecutor's questions, Mammadov indicated that the road where the incident occurred was a previously used road. "In my opinion, the mine was placed later as a result of sabotage," he added.

The victim also answered questions from the accused persons.

The trial continues for Armenian citizens accused of crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes, acts of terrorism, the preparation and execution of aggressive war, genocide, violations of war laws and rules, forcible seizure and retention of power, as well as financing terrorism, among other offenses stemming from Armenia's military aggression.
