Canada thanked Azerbaijan for the evacuation of its citizens from Iran, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, SİA informs.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand have discussed the current security situation amid the Israeli-Iranian conflict in a phone call. The Canadian foreign minister also thanked Azerbaijan for the support provided in the evacuation of his country's citizens from Iran.
Bayramov, in turn, congratulated the Canadian minister on her appointment to this position and wished her success.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
