Azerbaijani, Kenyan FMs discuss post-conflict situation in South Caucasus

As part of his official visit to Kenya, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had an expanded meeting with Musalia Mudavadi, EGH, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, SİA informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, Minister Bayramov briefed the Kenyan side on the post-conflict situation in the region and the restoration of Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

The normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the issue of the return of former internally displaced persons, humanitarian demining, and bilateral cooperation between Baku and Nairobi were also discussed.

The ministers described the opening of Azerbaijan's embassy in Nairobi as an important event in terms of developing interstate relations.

“As a continuation of the multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kenya, moreover, invigorated by the official inauguration of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Nairobi, expressed our readiness to carry on political dialogue, promote economic and trade relations, and explore opportunities for cooperation in the fields of public services, education, culture and tourism among others,” Bayramov wrote on X regarding the outcomes of the meeting.
