Azerbaijan initiated another phase of resettlement to the Beylik village of the Lachin district on Thursday, according to SİA.
In accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the liberated territories continues.
As part of this phase, 41 families, comprising 163 individuals, were relocated to the village.
Residents returning to their native land have expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they have received.
They also expressed their gratitude to the valiant Azerbaijani army and heroic soldiers and officers who liberated Azerbaijan’s lands from occupation, and wished mercy for the martyrs who lost their lives in this cause.
Currently, over 43,000 people reside in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, including former internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have returned to the region. This population also comprises individuals engaged in various development projects, employees of local branches of state institutions, and professionals working in revitalized sectors such as healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy.
