Azerbaijan has become an important international center hosting global initiatives in recent years, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said at the 6th plenary session of the United Nations Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network), being held in Baku, Report informs.
Aliyev noted that last year alone, Azerbaijan hosted the UN COP29 Climate Conference and the 29th annual meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors, and successfully organized several crucial events, including a high-level session on law enforcement agencies' fight against environmental crimes:
"As an active member of the GlobE Network, Azerbaijan highly appreciates this platform, which contributes to strengthening international cooperation, promoting integrity, and jointly fighting transnational corruption. Saudi Arabia and especially its anti-corruption body 'Nazaha' have played an invaluable role in the creation and development of this initiative. We commend their contribution to this important global initiative and their leadership."
