Bako Sahakyan admits his participation in planning military operations and combat missions for occupation of Azerbaijani territories
During the ongoing court hearing at the Baku Military Court on May 19, the accused Bako Sahakyan answered questions about his activities after the occupation of Shusha in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, which unit he served in, which commanders he met with, and what they discussed, SİA informs.
Sahakyan said he was the chief of the rear service headquarters from June 1993.
Bako Sahakyan was also seen in the video shown during the interrogation of the accused. The footage showed military personnel sitting behind a desk discussing documents and maps. From the video and Sahakyan's statements, it became clear that various commanders participated in these discussions.
In the video shown, Sahakyan recognized himself, General Kristapor Ivanyan, Samvel Karapetyan, Movses Akopyan, Samvel Babayan, Vitali Balasanyan, Vachagan Iskhanian, and others.
Armenian citizen Bako Sahakyan, who once "led" the puppet regime created by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and is currently being tried in Baku for committing numerous criminal acts against Azerbaijan and its people, admitted in an open court session his participation in the preparation and discussion of military operations and combat missions for the occupation of Azerbaijan’s sovereign territories by Armenia in the past.
The trial continues for Armenian citizens accused of crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes, acts of terrorism, the preparation and execution of aggressive war, genocide, violations of war laws and rules, forcible seizure and retention of power, as well as financing terrorism, among other offenses stemming from Armenia's military aggression.
