The role of media today is more important than ever and goes beyond simply reflecting events – it has become a driving force of strategic development, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency said, while speaking at the 2nd Central Asian Media Forum in Astana, according to Report.
"Strengthening the information space is not a task that any one country can solve alone. Global challenges demand collective action," Ismayilov emphasized.
He noted that Azerbaijan is implementing consistent reforms to develop professional media, based on a presidential decree issued by Ilham Aliyev in January 2021.
In his speech, Ismayilov also stressed the importance of cross-border cooperation, joint projects, and educational programs in the field of journalism.
