Azerbaijani FM reiterates conditions for signing peace agreement with Armenia

"Following the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, which was a remnant of the conflict, and the elimination of territorial claims against Azerbaijan, there will be no obstacles to signing a peace agreement and restoring intergovernmental relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia," said Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a panel discussion on "Challenges and Opportunities for Regional Cooperation in the South Caucasus" at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA reports.

"After a process lasting approximately two and a half years, both sides have reached a final agreement," said Jeyhun Bayramov and he emphasized that for the process to be fully completed and for the peace agreement to be signed, several necessary steps must be taken.

"This is Azerbaijan's long-term and consistent stable, and Armenia is well aware of this. First and foremost, it involves the dissolution of the outdated and ineffective Minsk Group, as well as amendments to Armenia's constitution and the elimination of territorial claims over Azerbaijani territory," Mr. Bayramov added.
