Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Head of the Central Apparatus, met Wednesday with a delegation led by Liu Jianchao, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
The officials hailed the mutually beneficial relations between Azerbaijan and China, which have been successfully developed over 33 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
They highlighted the importance of the adoption of the Joint Declaration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China on the establishment of a strategic partnership in deepening multifaceted cooperation and defending each other's interests at the international level.
The two expressed their countries’ willingness to enhance cooperation across political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other domains, stressing the importance of cooperation in logistics and transportation within the “Belt and Road” project and the Middle Corridor.
The meeting underscored the importance of reciprocal visits and exchange of expertise in assessing the current state of relations between the ruling parties of the two countries, as well as determining avenues for future cooperation.
The meeting also included discussions on other issues of mutual concern.
