An official welcome ceremony was held in Baku for the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, welcomed his German counterpart, according to SİA.
A guard of honor was arranged for the German President in the square decorated with the national flags of both countries.
The national anthems of both countries were played.
