Ukraine won’t make territorial concessions in exchange for peace — Zelenskyy
Ukraine won’t agree to a ceasefire in exchange for ceding territories, Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists as he wrapped up his UK trip, SİA informs via TASS.
Such an agreement would risk causing tensions in the future, he said, the Guardian noted.
According to Zelenskyy, countries supporting Ukraine or willing to be intermediaries understand that if the conflict does not end in the way Kyiv believes is right, "then it will be a matter of time before people will try to get this justice."
"We don't want anything that doesn't belong to us," he said.
According to the newspaper, Zelenskyy spoke to the media exclusively in Ukrainian.
On March 2, US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said Ukraine could agree to give up territories in exchange for security guarantees as part of a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
