Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who is on a state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Victory Park in Baku on February 24, SİA reports.
A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan laid a wreath at the Victory Monument in the park.
Detailed information was then provided to the distinguished guest about the Victory Park, created to preserve the memory of the unmatched heroism of the Azerbaijani people in the Patriotic War and the magnificent historical Victory they achieved. It was reported that the park, covering an area of nearly 10 hectares, features a Victory Arch at its entrance, symbolizing the 44-day Patriotic War, with a height of 44 meters, a width of 22 meters, and 44 columns.
Note that the opening of the park took place on November 8, 2024, with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
