On December 26, 2024, Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, made a phone call to Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry told SİA.
Minister Botchorishvili expressed her condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger flight from Baku to Grozny, which occurred on December 25 near Aktau. She wished patience to the friendly Azerbaijani people and emphasized that Georgia always stands with Azerbaijan during this tragic time.
