Eight members of Azerbaijani Parliament observe elections in Georgia

Azerbaijani MPs in Georgia are observing parliamentary elections in Tbilisi, Rustavi, and other locations, Arzu Naghiyev, the head of the delegation, and head of the working group on Azerbaijan-Georgia interparliamentary relations of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), told APA.

He noted that the Azerbaijani observation mission will visit polling stations to monitor issues such as election preparations and voter turnout.

“The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation, consisting of eight MPs, is participating as observers in the parliamentary elections taking place in Georgia today. Throughout the day, we will be at various polling stations observing how preparations are being made, the election system, and voter activity. Our delegation will be in Rustavi and other polling stations to conduct observations.

The key point is that the results of these elections should reflect the will of the Georgian people. I should also mention that many Azerbaijanis live here, and elections in those areas should be conducted at a high level. We observed a day of silence yesterday, with no rallies or campaigning taking place. Naturally, the final decision will be made by the citizens of Georgia,” Naghiyev said.
