On September 10, a bilateral meeting was held between Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Chikovani, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SİA reports.
At the meeting, the prospects for military cooperation between the countries were discussed, and a detailed exchange of views took place on increasing the intensity of joint exercises. It was highlighted that the internationally recognized territorial integrity of the countries is supported.
Later, the parties discussed ensuring peace and security in the region, new prospects for cooperation in military, military-technical, and military education areas, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
