Over 33% of Azerbaijani voters cast ballots by 5:00 PM - UPDATED

The voter turnout in Azerbaijan's snap parliamentary elections reached 33.82% as of 05.00 PM Baku time, according to Farid Orujov, the head of the Information Center of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Secretariat.

According to Report, speaking during a press conference at the CEC's Election Information Center, Orujov said 2,172,087 people have exercised their right to vote so far.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced voter turnout until 12:00 a.m. in the voting process for the extraordinary parliamentary elections held today, SİA reports.

Farid Orujov, head of the Information Center of the CEC Secretariat, said that by 12:00, 1,309,522 people had voted across the country, and voter turnout was 20.39%.
