"I was invited to participate as an observer in the election by Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the United Kingdom," British MP and Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, Qurban Hussain, who is observing the election in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, told reporters, APA reports.
He noted that he was not sent by the British monarchy but was specifically invited by Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the United Kingdom: "Based on my observations, the election here is conducted in the same system as in the United Kingdom. It's the same process. A citizen comes in, shows their ID, is checked, and then proceeds to vote. A special paper is given to the voter, and they place their ballot in the box. Everyone freely chooses the candidate they want. This is as such in the United Kingdom as well."
He added that he did not observe anything unusual in the election.
