Special voter cards have been prepared for voters who will cast their ballots for the first time in the extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament on September 1, the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan, Rovzat Gasimov, said at today's session of the CEC, Secki 2024 Independent Media Center reports.
He mentioned that 374 voters who will vote for the first time will celebrate their birthday on September 1.
“They will also be presented with special birthday greeting cards,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of the CEC, Mazahir Panahov, stated that these cards may be stamped with a special seal of the CEC.
On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.
The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
