"It is a matter of pride to vote in the city of Khankendi after many years," Khankendi resident Ilham Lalayev told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
He said that he returned to his native city after 32 years.
"Participation in the election is our civic duty. I will definitely vote. We are happy that we will vote in our hometown and we are grateful for that," he pointed out.
It is worth noting that on June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a degree on the dissolution of the sixth convocation of the Milli Majlis and the appointment of the snap elections to the Milli Majlis. According to the Degree, the sixth convocation of the Milli Majlis was canceled and the snap elections were scheduled for September 1.
