"The snap elections to the Milli Majlis are the first parliamentary elections held in our country after the final settlement of the Karabakh issue. MPs from regions liberated from occupation will be elected in those territories, which in itself is very gratifying," People's writer of Azerbaijan, first secretary of Azerbaijan Writers' Union Chingiz Abdullayev told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
People's writer expressed hope that the new MPs will properly represent their voters in the Milli Majlis.
"Elections are of great importance, because it will be the first parliament of independent Azerbaijan that does not focus on the issue of liberating our lands from occupation. I hope that the new composition of the supreme legislative body of the state will work for the welfare of our people and our country, and will spare no effort," concluded Chingiz Abdullayev.
