"The snap parliamentary elections to be held on September 1 are of great importance for our country. This time, parliamentary elections will be held throughout the country. It is so proud and honorable that it is difficult to express in words. We will participate in the first parliamentary elections of the victorious country, whose territorial integrity and sovereignty have been fully restored," Olympic champion Zemfira Meftahaddinova told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
She noted that the holding of elections in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, as well as in other regions of Azerbaijan, and the fact that Azerbaijanis who returned to their homeland voted in their regions, is an indication of the strength of our state.
"This is very magnificent and honorable. At the same time, great responsibility falls on the persons to be elected. I am sure that they will do everything they can to make the winning country even stronger," she pointed out.
The Olympic champion called the sports community to actively participate in the elections.
