"The elections to the Milli Majlis are a significant event not only for citizens living in the country, but also for Azerbaijanis all over the world. Because the need to strengthen the coordination and unity of Azerbaijanis, especially young people outside their homeland, within the framework of the diaspora, sets important tasks before the new parliamentarians,” Marina Busykina, a representative of the Azerbaijani diaspora, a teacher of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
According to her, this year's parliamentary elections will give a new impetus to strengthening diaspora relations, as well as increasing the role of Azerbaijani youth in protecting cultural heritage and national identity.
"Young Azerbaijanis living abroad see in these elections an example of their responsible attitude towards the future of the country and people," stressed the diaspora representative.
The expert noted that these elections will be an important stage in the process of integration of Azerbaijanis living outside the country into a single global community.
"These elections are not just an event, but a message for the unity of all Azerbaijanis, regardless of where they live. We need to strengthen relations and interaction in order to preserve and enhance our cultural-historical heritage, as well as to ensure the future of generations who are proud of their roots and are ready to contribute to the development of their country and the world community," Marina Busıgina said.
