The process of preparing ballot papers for the snap elections to the Milli Majlis, which will be held on September 1, will be completed this week, Secki 2024 Independent Media Center reports that this is reflected in the Central Election Commission's "Calendar Plan of the main actions and events for the preparation and holding of snap elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
According to the Election Code, the process of preparation of ballot papers is completed at least 10 days before the voting day.
The preparation of ballot papers for the snap parliamentary elections will end on August 22.
It should be recalled that on June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on the dissolution of the sixth convocation of the Milli Majlis and the appointment of the snap elections to the Milli Majlis. According to the decree, the sixth convocation of the Milli Majlis was canceled and early elections were scheduled for September 1.
