"Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan scheduled for September 1 will be the next step in the direction of democracy. The most important aspect of these elections is that for the first time parliamentary elections are held in all sovereign territories of the country. This fact alone demonstrates the greatness of the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," the head of the "CAN" diaspora organization operating in Norway, well-known fashion designer Shervin Najafpur, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
She noted that despite being far from her homeland, she follows the political processes in the country with interest.
"We observe that the candidates enthusiastically participate in the campaigning process, and that all conditions are created for them. In our opinion, this election will be one of the important steps in the direction of democracy in Azerbaijan,” she said.
The head of the diaspora noted that the next parliament will be the first parliament of the victorious country.
"I would like this Milli Majlis to be a parliament worthy of the victorious period of our history, filled with patriotic and intellectual people, able to express the growing value of our country on the international scale," she concluded.
