"Imishli Election District No. 81 is fully ready for elections" - Chairman of the Central Election Commission

"There are 52 polling stations in Imishli Election District No. 81. Web cameras have been installed in 6 stations. The number of registered voters in the district is 5,244. A total of 510 voters will participate in the voting process for the first time. Our oldest voter is 112 years old. If the health condition of an elderly voter does not allow him to come to the polling station on the day of voting, steps will be taken in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in order to ensure the right of that voter to vote. Ramps have been installed in 15 polling stations. The electoral district is fully ready for the elections to the Milli Majlis to be held on September 1," Ramil Nasirov, Chairman of the Election Commission of Imishli District No. 81, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.

The chairman of the DEC said that all the conditions for campaigning have been created in the district where seven candidates have been registered.

"Campaign boards have been installed in all precincts, outdoor and indoor spaces have been allocated for candidates to meet with voters. According to the legislation, equal conditions are created for each of the candidates," the chairman noted.

He also said that the observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) were observing the district.
