Tovuz-Gazakh-Aghstafa Electoral District No. 107 covers the territory of three districts. Some 50 polling stations out of 53 in the Electoral Dicstrict 50 are civil and three polling stations are in military units,” Farman Gurbanov, chairman of the Tovuz-Gazakh-Agstafa District Election Commission No. 107, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
He said that 33 polling stations are located in Tovuz, 13 in Gazakh, and 7 in the Agstafa district.
"A total of 47,353 voters are registered in these polling stations. Of which 23,680 voters are registered in Tovuz, 15,676 in Gazakh, and 7,997 in the Agstafa district. There are 440 first-time voters and 3 voters over the age of 100 in the administrative territory of the electoral district. In total, the number of 80-100-year-old voters is 1,138," said the chairman of the DEC.
He emphasized that the technical equipment of all polling stations is at a high level.
“According to the Calendar Plan, relevant trainings were held for the members of the polling station commissions and 11 people took signature sheets for the electoral district, 7 of them were registered as candidates. International observers visited the DEC and were interested in the issues of preparation for the election,” he concluded.
