"We will watch the elections to Milli Majlis alive from Russia through web cameras installed in the polling stations" - Chairman of the Diaspora organization

"The World Azerbaijanis are closely following the elections to the Milli Majlis, which will be held on September 1, like all the processes taking place in the homeland. The main thing that interests us is that our country showcases an example of democracy and that voting is held in liberated areas as well," Rafael Guliyev, chairman of the Ozan Azerbaijan Cultural Center operating in Russia's Chelyabinsk Region, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.

The chairman of the diaspora organization said that the World Azerbaijanis have always been proud of Azerbaijan's electoral democracy.

"Our country has a rich electoral experience. The process of democratization has developed further in every election held since the restoration of our independence," R. Guliyev noted.

He pointed out that all conditions have been created for holding transparent elections in Azerbaijan.

"There is an election legislation in accordance with international standards and the requirements of the law are not deviated from. According to the requirements of the law, equal conditions are created for the candidates in the pre-election campaign. Local and international observers can freely monitor both the pre-election environment and the voting process. All necessary equipment is installed so that persons with disabilities can exercise their right to vote. In addition, it is possible to watch the elections alive from anywhere in the world through the web cameras installed in the polling stations.
