"The elections to the Milli Majlis on September 1 will be a historic event. Because this is the first parliamentary elections held after the full restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Personally, I have been waiting for this moment, these days for a long time,” the head of the US-Azerbaijan Integration Center, Samir Novruzov, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.
He said that the conduct of election processes in Karabakh makes Azerbaijanis living abroad happy. Besides, after the parliamentary elections, attention will be paid to the liberated territories.
“I expect that there will be more calls and proposals related to this region in the Milli Majlis, and that the development in the economic and social fields of the whole country will accelerate. We will not only hold parliamentary elections for the first time in Karabakh, but we will also sign firsts in economic fields here. More comfortable, fertile conditions will be created for people to live and work prosperously in the liberated areas. All these historical processes will have a positive effect on the number of people who wish to move to those areas. I am proud that we are showing the development processes and democratic elections to the world in the lands we own. We are a nation that can rebuild villages in a short time despite the presence of countless mines in the destroyed areas. With the elections, we will once again prove to the world that we are the real owners of those lands!" concluded Samir Novruzov.
