It should also be noted that the current parliamentary elections also affect regional politics. It helps Azerbaijan take a stronger position in the South Caucasus," Jeyhun Najafli, the chairman of "Alberta" Azerbaijani Cultural Society located in Canada, told Secki 2024 Independent Media Center.

Azerbaijani diaspora representative emphasized that the fact that Azerbaijan held parliamentary elections for the first time after fully restoring its territorial integrity and sovereignty is a proud moment in the history of country’s independence.

"This is the result of the years-long struggle of the Azerbaijani people and the determined policy of our state. These elections are also taking place at a time when Azerbaijan is starting a period of peace and stability in its own land and is taking confident steps towards the future. Elections held at such a historical moment strengthen the solidarity of the people and increase the authority of the state in the international arena. These elections are the beginning of a new era not only for Azerbaijan, but also for the region," the head of diaspora said.
