Some 362 local observers registered in Sheki city electoral district No. 114
In preparation for the snap elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan scheduled for September 1, educational trainings for the members of the lower election commissions on voting day procedures continue in the Sheki city constituency No. 114.
Secki 2024 Independent Media Center reports that a total of 276 people, including chairmen, secretaries and commission members of 44 polling stations within the constituency, were involved in the trainings that began on August 12. A total of144 commission members from 24 polling stations participated in the trainings held on the first two days of the trainings. The exercises are conducted by Tehran Azizov and Elnur Mustafayev, who participated in the training course organized by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
During the training process, with the help of special programs and slides prepared by the CEC, the participants were given methodical information about the roles and responsibilities of the members of the precinct election commission, election day processes and exceptional cases, preparation for the counting of votes, classification of ballots, counting of votes, filling in the final protocol and other issues. In the trainings, each participant was also presented with a Memory for Election Day booklet, a sample protocol on voting results and other sample documents.
According to the information given by the chairman of the district election commission, Kamran Rasulov, 8 candidates will fight for the sole mandate to the Milli Majlis in this district. Three of them represent different political parties. Five people were nominated on their own initiative. So far, 362 local observers have been registered in the district.
