An international conference on ‘Innovations of Seismic Hazards in the Caucasus and Results of Modern Engineering Practices’ will be held in Baku on May 13-15, 2024, Report informs.
The conference organized by the Republican Seismological Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will be attended by the management of ANAS, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture, as well as about 30 well-known seismologists and specialists from foreign countries.
At the conference, the collection and analysis of the latest seismic data in the Caucasus, concepts in modern building codes, improvement of the earthquake catalog, seismic methods and hazard assessment requirements, etc. topics will be discussed.
