Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis, held a meeting with President Rumen Radev of the Republic of Bulgaria during his visit to Baku. President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev toured the Heydar Aliyev Museum in the Milli Majlis and signed the museum’s Guest Book.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova expressed confidence that President Radev’s visit would contribute to further enhancing relations between the two countries, characterizing the bilateral ties as friendly and strategic.
Emphasizing Bulgarian-Azerbaijani cooperation in contributing to Europe`s energy security, Rumen Radev underscored Azerbaijan`s vital role in ensuring the continent`s energy security as a reliable partner in the European security architecture. He hailed Azerbaijan`s key role in realizing the "Solidarity Ring" project.
Sahiba Gafarova described the importance of mutual parliamentary activities as a factor positively influencing bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29.
Rumen Radev congratulated Azerbaijan on hosting this prestigious international event, expressing Bulgaria’s readiness to support Azerbaijan in its successful organization.
