Peskov: Putin-Pashinyan meeting expected by both sides

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which will take place in Moscow on May 8, is needed and expected by both sides, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists, SİA informs referring to Russian media.

He noted that Putin has a very busy work schedule. Today is mainly devoted to the topic of Eurasian integration. Thus, in the middle of the day the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will begin; it will traditionally be both in a narrow and in an expanded format, he said.

“At the end of the working day, a separate bilateral meeting between President Putin and Prime Minister of Armenia Pashinyan is also planned. The meeting is necessary and expected on both sides,” Peskov emphasized.

Earlier, he noted that there are some problems between the two countries, expressing hope that all the difficult issues in relations between Russia and Armenia that have emerged recently will be resolved.
