Georgia ready to contribute to establishment of peace and stability in South Caucasus, says Defense Minister
Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Chikovani has reaffirmed his country’s readiness to contribute to the process of establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus as he met with Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country Faig Guliyev.
During the meeting, the parties pointed out the importance of strategic partnership and friendship between Azerbaijan and Georgia. They hailed the positive dynamics of high-level visits between the two countries.
The sides also discussed the prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, with emphasis on cooperation in joint participation in international exercises, as well as collaboration in the field of military education.
Azerbaijan's Military Attaché in Georgia, Colonel Fuad Ibrahimov was also present at the meeting.
