Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan discusses President Japarov's upcoming visit and bilateral relations

Latif Gendilov, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, provided insights on several aspects of President Sadyr Japarov's anticipated visit to our country in an exclusive interview with the "vb.kg" agency.

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan highlighted that Ambassador Gendilov emphasized the extensive itinerary planned for President Sadyr Japarov's visit, SIA reports citing AZERTAC.

"There are a number of mutually beneficial issues to be discussed between the two countries. During President Japarov's trip to Azerbaijan, the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Council is scheduled, along with the signing of more than 10 agreements," stated the diplomat.

Highlighting the ongoing strong bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan at the highest levels, Gendilov noted: "Cooperation has been steadily progressing over the past few years and is characterized by robust and multifaceted content. Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan share common historical roots, strong bonds of friendship, and brotherhood. This provides excellent opportunities for expanding interstate relations in various fields through innovative approaches."

The diplomat noted that there is a permanent and continuous political dialogue at all levels between the two countries. Therefore, it can be confidently stated that the regular meetings, personal contacts, and trust-based relationships between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Sadyr Japarov create a solid and conducive ground for comprehensive cooperation, determine the multi-vector nature of our relations, strengthen economic ties, and promote cooperation in all areas.

Gendilov emphasized that the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations cover a wide range of areas, including economic blocs and mutual activities in the humanitarian sphere. "In the economic sphere, there are already concrete results. We have established the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Investment Fund, which has started its activities. There are some projects presented by the Fund. Specialists from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy have been involved in projects that will mutually benefit from the activities of the Investment Fund. As mentioned, the volume of the Investment Fund will increase with the inclusion of new projects. Construction of a five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul continues successfully on Azerbaijani capital, and it is planned to put it into operation earlier than planned.

Gendilov emphasized that reciprocal visits are quite intensive, noting that, in addition to presidential meetings, representatives of various structures of our countries also conduct reciprocal visits. "Recently, the Caspian Investment Business Forum was held in Bishkek. I am sure that this event will contribute to the formation of successful business relations between Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz companies, as well as the expansion of cooperation," said the ambassador. According to him, thanks to the efforts of the presidents of the two countries, relations are developing successfully in all areas. The peoples support their leaders, develop cooperation, and advance humanitarian relations. A school named after the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi has been built in Bishkek. One of the large schools in Bishkek has been named after the National Leader, the illustrious son of the Azerbaijani people, and the founder of our modern state, Heydar Aliyev. We consider this as a symbol of friendship and brotherhood among our peoples, as a tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev. Kyrgyzstan, as well as in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan from occupation.
