The Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, and the Speaker of the Congress of New Caledonia, Rock Wamytan, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
According to SİA, the document was signed after the meeting between the speakers.
According to the memorandum, the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis takes into account the right of the people of New Caledonia to self-determination and will inform the international community about the issue.
Also, the Milli Majlis and the Congress will develop inter-parliamentary cooperation for the sake of strengthening friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and New Caledonia.
In addition, the memorandum envisages the establishment of permanent relations between commissions, committees, and bodies of legislative bodies and the mutual visits of delegations of MPs.
