Since restoring its independence, Azerbaijan has prioritized open, constructive, and equal partnerships with all international organizations. Under President Ilham Aliyev's 20-year leadership, successful and consecutive steps have been taken in this direction. Consequently, Azerbaijan is now represented in almost all international and regional institutions, emerging as a key initiator of new cooperation formats in the region. Strong Friendship Relations to be Established Between Congo and Azerbaijan

The upcoming visit of President Denis Sassou-Nguesso of the Republic of Congo to Azerbaijan on April 4 underscores Azerbaijan's collaboration with world nations. Notably, diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Democratic Republic of Congo were established in 2011. Today, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Congo encompass various fields, including political, socio-economic, and military cooperation. During the visit, both presidents will sign the "Declaration on Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Congo," highlighting its significance in shaping future cooperation prospects. Discussions during bilateral and delegation-level meetings emphasize the continuation and enhancement of existing relations.

Promising Prospects for Collaboration in Energy, Mining, and Other Sectors

Collaboration exists between our countries in the defense industry sector as well. President Ilham Aliyev's extensive discussions with President Denis Sassou-Nguesso highlight the potential for positive dynamics in trade as a result of the implementation of agreements reached. Azerbaijan's interest in participating in several investment projects in Congo, particularly in the agricultural sector, was also discussed. President Aliyev expressed confidence in the future of collaboration, particularly in energy, mining, and other sectors. Discussions during the visit emphasized mutual interests and provided direction for future cooperation.

President Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to cooperation within international organizations, particularly the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement. Azerbaijan's successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement until January of this year strengthened the organization's institutional development. President Aliyev highlighted the significance of the Baku Initiative Group in combating new manifestations of colonialism, stressing its respected status on a global scale. Discussions focused on the organization's role in global processes and its future development.
