Cavusoglu urges western countries to put pressure on Yerevan to achieve peace in South Caucasus

Western countries, in particular France, should put pressure on Armenia to conclude peace with Azerbaijan as soon as possible, head of the Turkish parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Mevlut Cavusoglu, told reporters in Baku.

SİA quotes him as saying the West should also be interested in peace and security in the South Caucasus region.

"Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensuring the energy security of the West. In this regard, Western countries, in particular France, should put pressure on Armenia to conclude peace as soon as possible," he said.

The parliamentarian also added that Türkiye and the Turkish people will continue to support Azerbaijan.
