On April 2, Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov received Vladislav Kanevskiy, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of further expanding cooperation, SIA reports.
It was noted that relations between the two countries and their peoples are grounded in historical foundations and develop in accordance with international law norms and principles, including respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Ukrainian side particularly underscored the significance of humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine and expressed gratitude for this support.
Additionally, discussions were held on various mutually beneficial bilateral and regional issues during the meeting.
Ambassador Kanevskiy was thanked for his efforts in fostering relations between the two countries, and best wishes were extended to him for his future endeavors.
